JV Ejercito is the ONLY son of Erap who IMHO has not been tainted by anything as insane as being abusive or arrogant towards any individual. In fact, I’d waver and say that he’s the ONLY decent son of the ex-president who is educated, decent and hasn’t been in the “news” for anything like getting drunk, peeing in publi, causing troubles in places like hospitals or pubs.I am frankly NOT an Erap fan BUT in the case of JV Ejercito who gets a TOYM which he frankly deserves because he is a brilliant chief executive, I would certainly have to say that he is the only son of Erap who managed to grow out of the mold of sheer mediocrity. I commend JV, not because he’s Erap’s son, but because he is admirable in his own right.
If there is anyone “fit” for the Senate, it’s JV. I think even Gloria Arroyo acknowledges that JV managed to grow up a decent person. You don’t get a TOYM from an “enemy” for nothing!

Those are inspiring criticisms, that would make a person, such as Mayor JV strive harder and be more effective as a public servant, which he is already. OUTSTANDING actually, otherwise TOYM woud not have been vested upon him! Why hide behind “No Name John”? It could be John Doe you know.
JV, keep up the good, no not good, excellent work that you are doing. Gee Whiz, triple the income of a city! Now that is what I call success and Excellent Governance! I can not say the same for gloria though, what do you think No Name?

Tama ka, noname, demokratikong blog nga ito but just like freedom, democracy comes with responsibility. You should use your common sense. Just because Mayor JV happens to be an Estrada doesn’t necessarily mean he is useless. As a matter of fact, and i am not even a resident of San Juan nor am i a follower or “loyalist” of the Estradas, if you have done your homework you would know that Mayor JV is not only educated but well educated. He was also a businessman prior to entering politics, and a successful one at that. Mayor JV’s interest in politics may not have been born out of his being an Estrada but by the need to be of service, in more ways than one, to every Filipino – including you.

Don’t go out half-cocked. please look into the persons character, intellect and heart before you begin to ridicule or degrade. Look into his passion and integrity as a person – not just because he happens to be an Estrada.

And lastly, if you really want sincere change it should start with you not hiding behind a handle like “noname.”

Sobra na naman ata ang bias mo kay JV Ejercito. Bago ka magsalita sana bumisita ka sa San Juan at alamin mo muna kung ano ang nagawa nung tao. Sa Palagay ko ikaw ang isa sa mga di matanggap na naungusan at nalagpasan ng mga taong di elitista. Yan ang problema sa ating mga pinoy eh, di mawala ang ‘crab mentality’.

Bakit ang mga Arroyo kahit na puro anomalya ang ginagawa tila tanggap niyo? Dahil ba sila ay elitista kaya pwede sila?

Yan din ang problema ng ibang nasa middle class, mas tanggap nila ang mga naghaharing uri kahit na gumagawa ng kalokohan. Di nila matanggap na ang isang Erap na drop out at bobo ang tingin ay malagpasan sila. Wala ng iba pang tawag diyan kundi ‘crab mentality’!

Ang kasalanan ng magulang ay di kasalanan ng anak. Di dapat na may mindset tayo sa isang tao. Give credit where it is due. Di biro ang manalo ng TOYM lalo na’t siya ay opposition.

Bukod sa pagiging mahusay na mayor, si JV ay sumasama sa mga pakikibaka sa lansangan.

Tanong ko lang sa iyo kung ano na ba ang nagawa mo para sa bayan bago ka magsalita?

Tama ka demokratiko tayo. Kung ayaw mo sa akin, nirerespeto ko ang iyong opinyon. Bakit di ka magpakilala?

Ang isa pa, ng patalsiking ninyo si Presidente Erap at ipinalit si GMA, gumanda ba ang takbo ng ating bayan? Diba’t ang sinisigaw ninyo ang pagtakwil sa katiwalian at mga anomalya? Sa ilalim ni GMA, mas lalong lumala ang problema ng korupsyon. Enough is enough you say? Malaki ang kasalanan ng mga nagluklok kay Gloria sa masang Pilipino!

Pangalawa, ang aking mga nagawa para sa San Juan bilang Punong Lungsod ay kakaiba. Bagama’t ako ay nasa oposisyon, naging triple ang income ng San Juan sa ilalim ng inyong lingkod. From P300 million to P950 million in 7 years!

Modesty aside, ang pagkakahirang ko bilang isa sa TOYM awardee noong 2007 ay nangangahulugang hindi ako ordinaryong opisyal ng pamahalaan. Maraming magagaling at magigiting na opisyal sa pamahalaan, nguni’t iilan lang ang outstanding!

Salamat sa mga tulad ninyo, lalo ko lang ipagbubuti ang aking paninilbihan upang mapatunayang nagkakamali kayo.

Ako naman ay iniaalay lamang ang sarili upang makapagsilbi sa ating bayan lalo na sa kabataan, sa Senado man o wala. Minsa’y napatunayan na ng inyong lingkod na mas mahalaga ang interes ng nakararami kaysa sariling ambisyon. Kung ako ay makasarili, dapat ay Senador na ako ngayon.

i dont trust JV ejercito’s capabilities, parang yung tatay niya lang yan… wag nyo na patakbuhin sa senado yan!
yung ibang member ng young turks pwede pa,, like atty. adel,rep. gilbert and prof. remoto, but please wag na ang mga estrada, please! enough is enough.
